About
Derneburger is born from 1750s distilling traditions in Lower Saxony and reimagined through the craft of contemporary art. A spirit of legacy - bold, refined, and alive.

What once warmed harvest hands in monasteries and stately homes now toasts exhibition openings.

Each bottle is a bridge: between the quiet heritage of von Cramm Weizenbrand and the vision of the Hall family at Schloss Derneburg, between ancestral grain and artistic grain, between the distiller's fire and the artist's spark.

We distill time - slowly and deliberately, with the care of an artist's brushstroke. Each label is an edition. Each release, a moment.

Georg Baselitz
German painter and sculptor
Georg Baselitz (b. 1938, Saxony near Dresden) is known for his bold, inverted paintings that challenge how we see and interpret images. Shaped by postwar Germany, his work explores destruction and renewal. From 1974 to 2006, he lived and worked at Schloss Derneburg - now home to the Hall Art Foundation, and to our Schnaps.
